Initial Stage
The first step of including automation in your building is a sit-down meeting with a brew and possibly biscuits. This should come once you have initial drawings for your building from the architect, but before construction begins.
Over the course of two hours, we listen to the scope of your building and what you believe that you want in the building and what smart home systems you think will benefit you the most. From here we will then present you with the various systems that we install and what we think they can do for you in your building.
This first meeting is often where a lot of the most exciting ideas that will be used to make your building outstanding. This is also a good chance for us to begin to understand you. By the end we will have a good idea of whether you want lots of exciting system that will make your guests jaw drop or whether you just want to never pull the curtains closed by hand again!
Design and Quotation Stage
The next stage of the process is one that is all in our hands. After the meeting between ourselves and you we then return to our office and begin to plan just how we will make the magic happen.
This includes a master document showing the number of circuits for lighting per room, a breakdown of different TV’s and audio zones, Heating Zones, Fans, and just about anything else in our scope.
From this document we can then begin to build a quote.
The quote is one of the last documents we produce during this stage, this is because rather than stick our finger in the air and take an estimate we like our quotes to be all inclusive, this gives both parties involved peace of mind.
Building and Testing Stage
Once a price and scope are agreed it is time for us to get to work. This is where the bulk of the time is spent, we purchase and assemble the vast majority of your systems in our Cheshire facility.
This includes wiring and programming many of the features that will make your house stand out and ensuring that you system is bespoke and personal to you! We will send regular progress updates and be on hand to answer any questions you have throughout this time too!
It will also be at this time we attend your building to be and ensure that the cabling that is being put in is up to spec and work with your project manager, architects, builders and electricians to ensure that any kinks can be worked out before the install is complete, not after!
Install Stage
This is where things start to get exciting! We begin to install the technology into your project, starting with lighting and moving on to AV the building slowly starts coming to life.
We work with the rest of your project team to ensure that we are there when we are needed and that technology is not on-site before it is safe to be there, ensuring that you have total peace of mind during the process.
It is at this point we also work to ensure that all cables needed are present and accounted for, as well as their corresponding identification numbers which allow us to present a document showing what every cable in your building is for, cutting down on confusion and allowing for swift progress of the build.
A short while before you move in we will also spend the time to ensure that the system is calibrated correctly, and that it is firing on all cylinders, making your move in process much smoother and allowing you to enjoy your system on Day 1!
Aftercare Stage
No one knows how they will utilise their new building on before it is bult, we recognise this! That is why we allow for all the small tweaks and changes you want to your system in the first 3 months of living there, and often beyond!
Due to the remote access ability of our smart home systems, we are able to make these changes without even leaving our office, ensuring that there are a fraction of the callout charges that would otherwise occur!
Even after you are well settled into your new building, we believe that an installer/customer relationship is for life and will be more than happy to help with any queries, changes or support activities that you need to keep your system functioning just the way you want it to!
